Jasper Highlands Fire Department in Tennessee partnered with Cross Plains Solutions to test SoyFoam™ TF-1122, a revolutionary soybean-derived firefighting foam. The Jasper Highlands Fire Department is yet another example of real-world results with this 84% biobased, PFAS and fluorine-free firefighting foam.
The results of the test were impressive. Chief Lowell Hardin of the Jasper Highlands Fire Department said, “The testing exceeded our expectations both in extinguishment and prevention of combustion. The fact that this foam is effective on both Class A and B fires creates a versatility that was not previously possible.”
A plywood board sprayed with the foam couldn’t be ignited, even when exposed to direct flames from a drip torch. On a separate burning brush pile, the fire was quickly smothered by the foam, demonstrating its efficiency. In areas with limited water supply, like many rural settings, SoyFoam™ TF-1122 offers a significant advantage by maximizing waterusage—extinguishing fires through smothering rather than drowning them in water.
SoyFoam™ TF-1122 is not only biodegradable, but it’s also the first and only firefighting foam to achieve GreenScreen Certified® Gold status—a major step forward in ensuring firefighter and environmental safety.
